Journey & Experience
My academic journey spans more than 26 years of teaching, research, academic administration, and institutional leadership. Since beginning my career as a Lecturer in Computer Science, I have been committed to nurturing young minds, promoting academic excellence, and building institutions through innovation, teamwork, and visionary leadership. Currently, I serve as the Dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Tiruchirappalli, where I provide strategic leadership for academic planning, curriculum development, research promotion, faculty development, student success, and quality assurance. Prior to this role, I served as Principal of SRM Trichy Arts and Science College, successfully leading several academic and administrative initiatives that strengthened institutional growth and academic excellence. My professional career has been enriched by nearly two decades of administrative leadership, serving in various capacities such as Head of the Department, Director, Principal, and Dean. These responsibilities have enabled me to contribute significantly to curriculum innovation, Outcome-Based Education (OBE), faculty mentoring, accreditation initiatives, industry collaboration, and student-centric academic reforms. As an academician, my areas of interest include Agile Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. I have taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Data Structures and Algorithms, Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Compiler Design, Computer Networks, Digital Electronics, and Software Project Management. Research has always been an integral part of my academic career. I have published numerous research papers in reputed national and international journals and conferences and have guided research scholars at the Ph.D., M.Phil., postgraduate, and undergraduate levels. I have also delivered invited lectures, organized national and international conferences, and actively contributed to various academic and professional bodies. Throughout my career, I have strongly believed that education should extend beyond classrooms. I have continuously encouraged innovation, interdisciplinary learning, industry interaction, entrepreneurship, student clubs, extension activities, and community engagement. My leadership philosophy emphasizes empowering faculty members, motivating students, fostering collaborative work environments, and creating opportunities for continuous improvement. One of my greatest achievements is witnessing the success of thousands of students who have grown into accomplished professionals, entrepreneurs, researchers, academicians, and leaders across the globe. Their achievements remain my greatest source of satisfaction and motivation. Looking ahead, I aspire to further strengthen higher education by promoting quality teaching, impactful research, international collaborations, digital transformation, innovation ecosystems, and holistic student development in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).

About My Family.. I am truly blessed with a wonderful family who have been my greatest source of strength and inspiration throughout my journey. My daughter, our beloved princess, has successfully completed her B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and is eagerly awaiting her opportunity to begin her professional career with L&T Technology Services in the VLSI domain. We are proud of her achievements and wish her a bright and successful future. I am fortunate to be surrounded by the unwavering love and support of my mother and my wife. They are the pillars of our family and wonderful homemakers whose sacrifices, encouragement, and understanding have given me the freedom and confidence to pursue my professional aspirations and grow in my career. I also remember my beloved father with deep gratitude and affection. He was the guiding force who shaped my values, character, and outlook on life. Although he attained eternal peace a decade ago, his blessings and teachings continue to guide me every day. Whatever I am today is largely because of the strong foundation he laid for me. Above all, I thank the Lord Almighty for blessing me with such a loving, caring, and supportive family. Their love, prayers, and encouragement have been the greatest gifts in my life's journey, and I remain forever grateful.
Relationship With the Professor
Sir When I stepped into RVS College of Arts and Science in 1993 as a B.Sc. Computer Science student, you were the Head of the Department of Computer Science. From my very first days, your encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support helped me develop not only my academic knowledge but also my organizational and leadership skills. After completing my postgraduate studies, I had the privilege of joining RVS College as a Lecturer in 1998. During those formative years of my academic career, you gave me the freedom, trust, and space to implement my ideas, innovations, and thoughts. That confidence you placed in me became the foundation upon which I built my administrative and leadership journey. The seeds of organization, administration, and leadership that you sowed through your mentorship have enabled me to serve for nearly two decades in various administrative positions, including Head of the Department and Director. Today, I have the honor of serving as the Dean at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, and I sincerely believe that this journey would not have been possible without your inspiration, guidance, and trust. I owe a significant part of my professional growth to your mentorship. Thank you for believing in me, nurturing my potential, and giving me the opportunities that shaped my career.
