B.Tech. / B.E. - CSE / IT / AI&DS / Any other UG Engg. | Batch of 2008-2012
Building on the core computer science foundation laid during my undergraduate degree under Dr. Kumar, I went on to earn a Master’s in Software Engineering and have spent the last decade working as a software engineer. My global career has taken me from India and Sydney, Australia to Wall Street firms in New York, where I focus on designing scalable systems, solving complex algorithmic problems, and writing clean, efficient code daily. Outside of work, I write about software engineering on Medium and I'm also actively involved in the local STEM community here in Hudson County, NJ. I'm also an active IEEE Member and volunteer.

Looking back at my 10-year career in software engineering, so much of where I am today goes right back to Dr. Kumar's classroom. Whether he was guiding us through tough subjects like Operating Systems and Database Systems or just sharing his wisdom, Kumar sir has a rare gift for making complicated ideas feel simple. He was always the professor who went above and beyond for his students, genuinely caring about our growth and making sure no one was left behind. The strong foundation he imparted in college is something I still lean on every single day, and I am truly grateful to have been his student. Even though it has been more than a decade since I left college, he still stays in touch—always wishing the best for me and treating his students like his own children. Retiring is a massive milestone, but his impact isn't stopping anytime soon; it lives on in all the students he inspired over the years. Thank you, sir, for your endless patience, encouragement, and mentorship. Wishing you the absolute best in a very well-deserved retirement!
